I had to do a home visit tonight and I was able to drive by one of my favorite spots---I don't remember the exact story about this stone house but I think it's well over 100 years old and burned to the ground. Obviously the stone didn't burn. I've always thought it was really neat; it sits on top of a hill overlooking fields and woods.
It's a shame they didn't rebuild - the structure looks beautiful!
