January 27

We got another 8 or so inches overnight! This is the view out my front door this morning, across the front yard. There's close to 50 inches of snow out there!!!!! Crazy!!!

January 26

We had a "surprise" snowstorm today before the real storm that was supposed to start after 4. This started around 10 and resulted in Tucker having a half day! I took this from the school parking lot when I went to get him.

January 25

The weathermen said a "dusting to an inch" for this morning and we have at least 3 inches and it's still snowing (it's almost 12:30 as I write this!) Tucker had a two hour delay and they did end up going. I know they're anticipating a snow day for Thursday when we're expecting 6-12 inches!!!1

January 24

I am officially back! For those of you who don't know, I had a hysterectomy last Monday so I took a week off from taking/posting pictures. I will be out of work for 4 weeks so I can't promise how exciting the pictures will be but I will be taking pictures daily and posting them!

Having said all that, Michael and Tucker have been very busy working on this snow fort in our front yard over the past few days (what else can you do with 30 inches of snow?!? lol) Tucker thought the Christmas tree would add a "homey" touch so he dragged it over from where Michael had tossed it in the woods. If you look really close, you can see a plastic machine gun in the center on top ("it needed a turret" quote from Tucker!!!) The opening is on the other side and actually has two levels to it but I wasn't going to climb over the now to take pictures of that!!!

January 14

After all the snow we got, it was so nice to see this beautiful sunrise this morning! I pulled into a parking lot to take the picture!

January 12

We got well over 2 feet of snow here in CT today. Tucker and I both had a snow day! I liked the way the snow looked on these trees.

January 9

I went out to watch Michael teaching Tucker how to use the snow blower and took a few pictures!

January 8

We woke up to about 6-7 inches of snow! Tucker had a great time running around in it and building a fort! We're expecting more snow overnight.

but my camera wouldn't cooperate with transferring them to the computer(has absolutely nothing to do with user-error! LOL) So I decided to create a collage out of them and found out it was super easy to do!

January 3

After the warm weekend we had (low-mid 40s), today was back to reality time! It definitely felt like Winter today!!!!

We got together with Michael's family this afternoon at Eileen's. This is a shot of the cousins playing Uno Attack-

January 1

Happy New Year! I'm starting the year off right!!! I really hope to keep up with this as I imagine myself to be a photographer of sorts (even though I am far from it!) I do see a lot of neat things throughout my days but worry about what people are thinking if I stop to take a picture. I need to get over that and just take the picture already!

Anyway, we usually start off the new year with a snow storm that Tucker goes sledding in. This year no snow storm (actually temps are in the 40s, very mild) so Tucker made due with the snow left over from last week! Here is his attempt at a snowman!
