today was the Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. I took the opportunity to take a picture of Tucker in his uniform (somewhat smiling and with the new glasses!)

February 26

We were only supposed to get rain in our part of the state for this most recent storm but we woke up to about an inch and then it snowed off and on over through the day. I had taken the day off as my bereavement day and Tucker was home from school. He had a great time playing in the snow!

Tucker got his new glasses today! I think he looks like a little professor!

All the rain we've gotten for the past two days has turned what was a little stream behind the post office into a raging river!

The snow wasn't as bad today as they had predicted. We had a light coating on the way in to work and by the time I got out it was pretty much gone. I'm staying t my mom's tonight though because they're predicting snow overnight at least in this part of the state and I don't want to drive into it in the morning!

It was a cold day today and we are supposedly expecting more snow tomorrow and then later in the week.

I didn't get a chance to take a picture today so I thought I'd share a picture of my grandmother's tea cup collection. The collection (including the shelf) used to hand in her kitchen and reminds me of her when I look at it. (The bells were also hers and I added them). She'll be gone 10 years on April 26.

Last week, we had a snowstorm that was supposed to the 'Storm of 2010' and it pretty much fizzled. The snowstorm we had today wasn't supposed to do much ofanything and it was horrible!! Definitely one of the worst snowstorms I have ever driven in-it took me over 2 hours to get to work! I stayed over my mom's tonight because there was more snow this afternoon/early evening and I didn't want another crazy ride in!

Tucker and Michael made this cool fort out of giant snowballs (11 of them!!). I think they look like giant meatballs!

Tucker and Michael made this for me for Valentine's Day-it's a heart cookie that they dyed red and then put a picture of themselves in!

I stopped at the cemetery after work to drop off valentine flowers for my dad and grandmother and noticed this vine-covered pillar on my way out.

Though the storm didn't end up being nearly as bad as the weathermen predicted, I stayed over my mom's house tonight rather than drive home. This is what my mom's road looked like before I started up!
