In the 10 years that we have lived in our house, we have never seen water come over this dam! this is from the reservoir near our house and flooded the road yesterday, just one of many road closures around here!

March 30

This is the "river" going down the road across the street! It is about a foot wide and about 2 inches deep and has washed out about 6 inches of dirt from the edge of the road! It sounds like a river too!

We are in the midst of torrential rain! Not expected to end until Wednesday! We came home to find Tucker's construction site FLOODED and he, of course, immediately put his boots on and ran out there! the water is up over his ankles!!!

My mother-in-law bought Tucker Monopoly city for his birthday and we spent much of today trying to figure it out! It is nothing like the regular game! Michael and Tucker played and didn't finish then Tucker and I played and he won (which should come as no surprise to those of you Tucker has beat in Monopoly; it is definitely his game-no matter what version we play!) We're still trying to figure it out but I think we came pretty close to how it's supposed to be played!

We held Tucker's birthday party today (a week early because my mother will be in San Antonio for the Women's Final Four on his actual birthday). We had it at Monster mini-Golf again. I hope to get all the pictures up on my regular blog today or tomorrow!

Today was another beautiful spring today so we took Tucker to the baseball field to practice some hitting. I like that you can see the ball coming in from the right as well as his determined face!

Happy First Day of Spring, indeed! This lovely daffodil opened in all its splendor today!

One of my friends from work gave Tucker a sheet of St Patrick's Day tattoes! This is the one he had on his cheek- it says "Kiss me, I'm Irish!"

It was a beautiful day today and I liked the way this horse looked in the field with the blue sky behind it!

Felix is really enjoying sleeping on the back of the new furniture! We just have to be careful not to catapult him off!

This is how high the water got from the reservoir down the road from us...it's actually even with the road. In the 10 years we've lived here, I honestly can't remeber it ever getting this high before!

It has been raining here all day...this is actually a puddle on the side of the road! (meaning there isn't usually a body of water there!)

I liked the way this tree and fence looked on the edge of the field...it was an overcast day today and we're expecting torrential rains for the weekend!

Tucker's Cub Scout den went to a new pizza place in town today and made pizzas! This is a group shot of the boys with the owner! They had a great time!

Today I noticed my tulips are trying to come up! That means spring is coming!

I know I'm averaging every other day this week but I am trying!

Tonight was the Cub Scout Family Movie Night at the fire house. The boys wear their pajamas and bring pillows and sleeping bags. Popcorn and water is provided. Tonight's movie was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, which we love. Here, Tucker enjoys his popcorn before the movie starts.

Another crazy weather day here in CT...this was what it looked like on the way to work this morning, just enough to cover the ground and make the trees look pretty! We were supposed to get 5 inches but nothing really came of it!

After all the rain and snow we've had for the past 4-5 days, it was so nice to finally see the sun on the way to work today!
