Tucker was feeling well enough by this afternoon to gather blankets and couch cusions to make a fort!

January 22

Tucker came home from school yesterday with a headache and sore throat. After hearing that Strep is going around, I brought him to the pediatrician to be tested and yes, he has strep. He got this calendar to put stickers on from Target and when he's completed his medication, he can bring the calendar in for a prize from their treasure box!

I brought Tucker to school this morning and he demonstrated why he's called Monkey Boy by climbing right to the top of the new climbing structure in the playground.

I didn't realize my camera battery was dead until I went to take a picture on the way home! So I had to settle for a picture of my cobalt blue glass collection. I started out collecting old, unusual bottles and became overrun with them so I narrowed it down to just cobalt blue, which is my favorite!

I liked the way the snow looked on our deck--of course, we're expecting rain later today so it will all be gone soon!

I have had a hard time taking pictures of Tucker playing soccer (oh-the horror! LOL) because the indoor field is surrounded by plexiglass and then netting to the ceiling (hey-that might make an interesting picture!) Anyway, I took this while his time was warming up on the non-plexiglassed smaller field.

Today is my 40th birthday and Michael and Tucker got me flowers and a zebra-print snuggie!

Yes I know I take a lot of sunrise/sunset pictures but I couldn't resist this one and hopefully I don't seem too morbid but I liked the way the sky looked over this cemetery.

The frogs on the frog bridge in the town I work in have their scarves on for the winter!

I noticed the green vine climbing up the side of this garage when I left my doctor's appt this morning.

A new birding store just opened down the street from us and even though, I'm not really into birds, I think their sign is cute!

We finally took our tree down today; this is the longest we've ever had it up! Here Tucker and Michael drag it up the driveway to put in the woods across the street.

Today was the Pinewood Derby! Tucker's car is #17, the second one in, black with red flames.

Driving down a back road today, I came across this little schoolhouse. The sign on it says: Lebanon School District 1857-1952). It's so hard to imagine that they taught school in there-it's so tiny!

Even though this barn is all grown over, there's just something I like about it...maybe it's the name: "Hope Farm".

This is what I saw in my rearview mirror as I was drining to work so I actually stopped, turned around, and took a picture!

Only the 3rd day in and I already missed a day! I didn't take any pictures today so this is from last night. My friend Julie and her family are here from FL on a business trip for her husband. We met at a favorite restaurant and the kids piled into a booth (she has 3, her brother has 2 (plus a friend). This is Tucker, Julie's son Jake (who is 6 mos younger), and Julie's daughter Madi who is 11.

I am so over this snow-stuff, it isn't even funny! It started snowing again last night and stopped some time this afternoon, leaving behind 6 more inches!

This is a view looking down my road. If you look at the road, you can spots of snow. I took this after the road got pummelled with snow when the wind blew!

Happy New Year! I am going to try my hardest to keep up with this blog because I do enjoy taking pictures!

Last night Tucker and I ended up snowed in at my mom's so we didn't have our annual appetizers and movie. We came home this morning and enjoyed our appetizers and watched City of Ember tonight with Michael! Our treats were yummy!!
