We went to the season finale at our local racetrack today with Tucker's friend Andrew and his parents. The highlight was this huge crash during the last race. This was only one of the wrecks!

Michael worked hard at carving the pumpkins today-eventuallt resorting to using his drill!

Tonight was the Cub Scout Halloween party. This is (l-r) Mason, tucker, and Chase doing some spooky crafts.

When I was getting the paper tonight, I noticed the purples and pinks of the sunset peeking through the trees.

With all our oak trees, this is a very small sample of what our yard looks like! The yellow leaf caught my eye!

When we had our trees cut down a few years ago, the guy made this tiki out of one of the stumps and we have it in our backyard-it makes me smile when I see it!

Probably the only good thing about leaving for work in the dark is that I get to check out some nice sunrises!

We got together with my mom's family today at my uncle's house. As usual, we played Bingo; whoever won the games got lottery scratch tickets! (And then those of us who didn't win also got a few!) This time was the best by far-my uncle bought 120 $1 tickets and our combined winnings totaled $149!!

We had a busy day today!!! We started the day doing the Cancer Relay for Life (my first time since my dad died 5 years ago).

We ended the day celebrating my mom's retirement from her job in August. It was a surprise party and she truly had no idea! Here she is presented with a plaque from the other officers in the hospital union. L-R my mom, Gail, Sue, and Peggy

I had a home visit tonight and on my way there, I spied this piece of farm equipment in a field.

Tuesday means soccer practice and let me tell you it was COLD!! Here Tucker gets ready to kick the ball (he did miss me!)

Tucker and I met his friend Maddie at Chuck E. Cheese's today! They had a great time running around and playing! Here they are on a rollercoaster ride that has a monitor that you can see them on!

Today is our 11th wedding anniversary and Michael came home with these pretty flowers! We went to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner.

All the rain we've had for the past two days has created these yucky mushrooms in our yard!

This is what happens when we forget to put the umbrella down and we have a rain and wind storm! We fared better than one of our neighbors though; they had a tree drop in their front yard that took off their porch but didn't land on their house!

I spotted this basket of Indian Corn when I was in the grocer store this afternoon and liked the way it looked.

Today we celebrated the October birthdays in our family. From L-R, Eric (our niece's boyfriend), is turning 21, Cassandra (our niece) is turning 20, and Eileen, (my m-i-l) is turning 70. Happy Birthday, everyone!
