March 31

Tucker was playing around in the bath tub tonight so I took a few pictures-he loves this bath foam!

March 30

I snapped this picture when I came home from work today-I liked the sun peeking through the clouds and the blue sky!

March 29

After the beautiful day of 60 degree weather we had on Saturday, it rained all day yesterday! (I did take this yesterday but was too tired to get on the computer!) This is a puddle in our driveway-after I took it, I noticed the reflection of the tree!

March 28

Today we celebrated Tucker's 7th birthday at an indoor miniature golf place. Here he is blowing out the candles!

March 27

Tonight was the PTO basket raffle at Tucker's school (for which I was co-chair). This is Tucker with his friend Chase next to the basket donated by their class.

March 26

I spied this truck at our rest stop and thought it would make an interesting picture. I'm not sure what it actually is...it looked like fencing of some kind.

March 25

I have always been fascinated by this old house that's on the way to my mom's...now I drive by it everyday!

March 24

If you look really closely, you can see a robin! I was as close as it was going to let me get! This was taken in the parking lot at work.

March 23

Today I started my new job as Social Services Director in a nursing home. This is the front door of the facility.

March 22

While driving around the countryside doing home visits this afternoon, I spotted these two trucks on a farm. If you look closely, you can see that the first one is towing the second!

March 21

Tucker's friend William slept over tonight and they had a good time playing the Wii; they really got into it!

March 20

I took this at Tucker's playground this morning. Yes it is the first day of spring and this is a frozen puddle! That's Tucker on the right hitting it with a stick!

March 19

Michael and I dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 today to pass out pencils, bookmarks, and erasers to the klids at Tucker's school (we were celebrating Dr Seuss Day late due to standardized testing that happened on the actual day). The kids really enjoyed their treats and I was happy to see how many had dressed up! It was a fun time!

March 18

Tonight we went to The Brain Show at Tucker's school-it's a game show where the guy asks different questions of the teams-in this case, families (it was individual during school today). Tucker and Michael are in the middle with his friend Colby-they ended up winning and got medals for their efforts! It was a lot of fun!

March 17

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this cutie dressed in his Irish finery. He stands outside one of my favorite consignment shops and his outfits change based on the holidays/season!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

March 16

Felix always makes me nervous when he hangs out on our deck railing...it's a full story up!

(I did take this yesterday...just didn't get to post it last night!)

March 15

We made another fire today and had a lunch of hot dogs and s'mores for dessert--yum! I liked the way the fire looked behind the marshmallows in this picture.

March 14

Tucker and I have been using our fire pit on the warmer days, which today definitely was! I took a few pictures of the fire and liked this one the best.

March 13

It was a beautiful day today and as I drove around looking for a spot of sunshine to park and eat my grinder, I came upon this. This is the Gold Star Bridge, which connects New London to Groton across the Thames River. (It was named for the Gold Stars people hung in their windows during WWII to show a family member serving in the war had been killed). This is the view from New London down by the river itself and I like that you can see the railroad trellis. Those two columns lift the railroad span so that boats can go underneath. I just thought it made a neat picture.

March 12

Tucker loves to climb on this in the morning before school (it's part of the playground). Yesterday they couldn't get to it because of all the mud but today it was no problem!

March 11

I really did take a picture yesterday and in the process of trying to save it, ended up losing it somehow. So we are moving on...

Today was a rainy, dreary day. This is behind Tucker's school; I liked how you could see the fog in the trees.

March 9

I went out to get the mail this afternoon and this is what was on the ground: SNOW! It took all weekend to get rid of it all and today, it rain, hailed, sleetted (is that a word?!) and snowed! Thankfully it changed back over to rain and it was gone within an hour or two! This was taken across the street by my mailbox.

March 8

Every Sunday when we go to the dump, Michael and Tucker always have to check out the "free" stuff! Here they are digging through some boxes-Tucker found a plane and some trucks.

Saturday, March 7, 2009

March 7

Today we picked out the party favors for Tucker's birthday party (it's not until March 28th but this was as long as I could hold him off!). He's not angry; I told him to pose in front of the army stuff like an army soldier-so I guess this would be his army face!

March 6

This machine has been parked on the side of our road for a few months now(it's on state-owned property-there's a reservoir behind it). Obviously they haven't done any work in the cold. It has always interested me when I drive by it because it looks so out of place!

March 5

I had no sooner finished straightening out the blankets down in our family room when our cat Felix decided that Garfield looked like a comfortable bed! I thought it made a cute picture!

March 4

Yes you are reading this right-this is the intersection of Friar Tuck and Robin Hood! I drive by Friar Tuck Drive often and had a home visit today on Robin Hood. Apparently whoever named these streets liked Robin Hood because there's also Maid Marian, Sherwood, Little John, and Queen Eleanor! Too funny!

March 3

Tucker and I did some finger painting this afternoon-I really liked his hands in this shot!

Monday, March 2, 2009

March 2

Yes it did snow last night...this is a picture of my neighbor's trellis (I think that's what you call it). I thought it looked interesting with the snow on it.

March 1

While I'm not necessarily proud of the cracks in our driveway, I thought they looked interesting with the dusting of snow we got this morning.
